Secure Document Destruction in Tauranga
We drop off a bin, you fill it at your pace, and we swap it on demand — so you only pay for pickups you need. Too much for a bin — an office, a shed, or a business closing down? Our bulk destruction service handles the lot.
Secure document destruction isn't the same as ordinary waste disposal.
For medical practices, law firms, accountants, government-related work, and any business holding personal or client information, tossing documents in general recycling isn't enough. Records need to be destroyed confidentially, by vetted staff, with a clear paper trail.
We handle secure destruction three ways: an on-demand bin on your premises that you fill at your own pace; a one-off bulk pickup for a large clear-out; or destruction of records already stored with us when they reach their destruction date. Some clients use us for destruction only, some alongside archive storage.
How the on-demand bin service works.
We drop off a bin
open or lockable (no extra charge)
You fill it
at your own pace, days or weeks, whatever suits
Call or email when it's full
no set schedule
We collect and swap
destroyed by our vetted staff, fresh bin left, no third parties
- Many shredding services run a fixed pickup schedule and charge for every collection — even when the bin's only half-full. With us, pickups are on demand, so you only pay to empty the bin when it actually needs it.
See it in action
Two short clips from our facility — paper and hard drives, both destroyed in-house by our own staff, with no third parties involved.
Destruction of records stored with us
If you store records with us, nothing is ever destroyed without your approval.
- You set a destruction date when a box is lodged — often 7 years, for IRD
- Your six-monthly status report flags any box reaching that date and asks if you'd like it dealt with
- You confirm - We move the boxes to a secure holding area
- We email to confirm they're ready
- You give final approval — from someone on your authorised list
- We destroy — securely shredded, we are a PSPLA licensed destruction agent
Why secure destruction matters
Privacy Act 2020
Personal information must be securely destroyed once it's no longer needed, not just binned or recycled.
IRD retention
Most tax records must be kept seven years; after that, secure destruction is the safe way to dispose of them.
Professional obligations
Medical, legal, and financial records typically require documented secure destruction.
- Under the Privacy Act 2020, you're responsible for securely disposing of personal information once you no longer need it — and records dumped or recycled instead of shredded can fall into the wrong hands. Secure destruction means there's nothing left to find.
